NEXT MONTHLY MEETING

The next meeting of the Lakeside Civic Association is scheduled for Monday, September 6th, 2004 at Panera Bread Banquet Room in the rear.   All homeowners are encouraged attend.  We appreciate the convenience afforded us by Panera Bread.

 ELECTION OF NEW OFFICERS

Another year has passed and it is time to prepare for Election of Officers.  Serving on the Board usually  involves only 1-2  hours of your time each month..   If you are interested in serving or know of some person who is, please contact one of the board members so we may get it on the ballot.  It’s fun to meet and work with your neighbors for the good of our neighborhood!

SPECIAL THANKS!

We appreciate our key board officers and the work they do to keep homeowners informed of Deed Restrictions, safety matters, and area improvement and maintenance.  “Keeping up Appearances” helps your valuable home asset and improves the quality of life for each one of us.  Herb Larsen, Blondie Hawkins and Jan Adams have worked especially hard this year.  Over the past 2 years, more than 40 new residents in Lakeside have been contacted about our Association.  Many were not aware that we are a Deed Restricted community.  For the most part, everyone is cooperative and sees the value of working together on the quality of our neighborhood and we say a big “Thank you!”

LAKESIDE DIRECTORIES

Since our website is going to be available, there is no longer a viable need for the hard copy directories.  They required constant updating.  If you do not have the Internet and wish to get a copy of the Lakeside resident list, please contact Steve Gronemeyer or Dorothy Belmonte, both of whom will be keeping this list up-to-date.

WEBSITE PROGRESS FOR LAKESIDE!

Steve Gronemeyer  has been working on establishing a site for our association and it will soon be completed. Due-paying members will receive a password and be able to access the site.  All Deed Restrictions, newsworthy items, as well as homeowner names, addresses,  and available  phone numbers will be listed.    If you do not want your phone number listed, please call Steve to let him know ASAP.  393-6729.

DEED RESTRICTIONS

If you are new to the area or if you have misplaced your copy of the Deed Restrictions, please contact Karen Lucas at 393-2240 for your copy.  It is a good idea to refer to them before starting a project such as an addition, new fencing, landscaping, etc.  If you have questions about the application of the deed restrictions, please feel free to contact a Board member or attend the monthly meeting.

IF YOU HAVE ANY NEWSWORTHY ITEMS, PLEASE CONTACT DOROTHY BELMONTE AT 393-9500.  The monthly newsletter will continue to be delivered to each door by Jan and Steve Adams to serve all.

 RED CROSS BENEFITS BARELY KNOWN!

Did you know that Red Cross will provide transportation free to individuals who have no other way to get to prescheduled medical or dental appointments?

Did you know that Red Cross offers Telephone Reassurance to eligible persons? Volunteers call to check on a person’s well-being and just to provide pleasant conversation. In the event of an emergency, they telephone the recipient’s emergency contact or 911.
