Good Morning everyone; hope you had a nice weekend. Additional construction reminder notices will be going out today for those residents living on the canal between Point West and Four Seasons communities and for Tradewinds Blvd. residents. Project related updates will be posted at www.pinellascounty.org/LakeSeminole

Big news! The state’s Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWCC) will be stocking the lake with more large mouth bass near the end of the month. The FWCC estimates the lake will receive 20,000 3-4 inch fish. The state will also complete a 7, 14, 30, 60, 90 day post stocking monitoring to determine the rate of survival. It is a rough world out there for a small fish!

Lastly I need a big favor from everyone to be on the look out for hydrilla. I have been out to the lake a few times over the last month and have found patches of it here and there. Patches are easy to control, but hydrilla grows exponentially and can go from a patch to an acre in a few weeks. If you see it call 464-7503 right away. Please have a good description of the location like “right in front of my dock at 9000 Seminole Blvd.” or “on the south side of the 102 AV bridge center of the lake.” Your persistence in helping us keep hydrilla under control is greatly appreciated.
